Michele - Pack Leader
In 2014, Bark ‘N Leash became a reality and former corporate maven, Michele, turned in her dress shoes and business wear for comfortable walking shoes and weather resistant outer wear. Inspired by her golden retriever Riley, was the motivation to create an unparalleled pet service to meet the individual needs of pets and their owners. Reliability, trust, and individual attention are the hallmarks of the Bark ‘N Leash experience.
A lifelong dog lover and animal owner, Michele’s introduction to dogs began at a young age with her family’s springer spaniel named “Patches”. Currently “mom” to one female boxer named Brooklyn, Michele spends most of her free time enjoying romps in the woods or strolls on the beach with her family. With unique instincts and uncanny ability in understanding animal behavior, Michele has trained numerous dogs throughout her life.
A strong advocate of animal rescue, Michele’s boxer Nauticus was rescued in 2012. Nursed from a sickly state, Nauticus lived a healthy, happy and safe life for another 3.5 years before she lost a very brief battle with heart disease. Rumour, Michele’s first boxer, was also rescued from a less than healthy breeder and blessed us with her kindness, loyalty and love for nearly 14 years, before passing away in Spring 2019. Brooklyn is the youngest member of the family at almost 4 years old and was recently voted most likely to have a ball in her mouth by the other members in the Bark 'N Leash pack. If she is not running around with a tennis or soccer ball in her mouth or swimming in the waters off Cape Cod, she is busy entertaining and welcoming her BNL pals.
Fully bonded and insured by Traveler's Insurance Company, Michele supports the MSPCA, is a member of Pet Sitter’s International, and is a certified Pet Tech Instructor in Pet First Aid and CPR. Michele is a 15 year resident of Watertown.
In 2017, Michele and Bark 'N Leash were featured as a model success story in the "Entrepreneurship - The Practice and Mindset" textbook for aspiring business owners.
Danielle - Dog Walker & Pet Sitter
Danielle is a part time dog walker and pet sitter. She is a lifelong animal lover after growing up with dogs, and currently is the proud mom to two lovable cats. Naturally nurturing, Danielle became an immediate hit with our clients, both two legged and four legged. She is a lover of arts, and left a corporate job to purse art on a more regular basis. She spends her days caring for her BNL pals and evenings and weekends working on various art/design projects.
Danielle studied graphic design at Massasoit Community College, after graduating from Blue Hills Regional Vocational Tech in Canton.
Lisa - Dog Walker & Pet Sitter
Lisa is the most recent addition to our team of dog walkers and pet sitters. She is a self-confessed dog lover and outdoor enthusiast, an avid hiker, skier and basically a nature girl at heart, with a long history of owning and caring for pets. She is currently mom to 2 canine rescues and has become a strong advocate of the organizations that work towards this end for animals in need. Having earned a BS degree in Health Science and worked in various health care settings, including a stint at a Veterinary Hospital/Orthopedic Surgery Center, she is currently trading in the 'desk jobs' for work that combines some fine canine clients, physical activity and the great outdoors! When not walking/pet sitting 4 legged companions she is most likely to be found in the kitchen attempting to create some sort of healthy and scrumptious concoction or working in the garden.
Cory - Dog Walker & Pet Sitter
Cory is a lifelong pet owner and animal lover. He currently has an American Staffordshire Terrier who is a rescue. When not caring for the Bark 'N Leash pooches and kitties, he spends his time studying, writing and performing music.
